Running is one of the most popular recreational activities in Malaysia. This activity also becomes viral when more organizations use healthy themed platforms for charitable or fund raising. Along with the vision of SK Bangi (Bangi Old School) "B.O.S TOWARDS EXCELLENCE" excellence in co-curricular areas is particularly important. Therefore, SK Bangi initiative is to organize a 5km run "B.O.S FUN RUN 2019".

This fun run is held as one of the efforts for communities around Bangi area and beyond to engage in fitness activities as a healthy lifestyle. In addition, payments made for the participation of these activities will contribute to the accumulation of SK Bangi infrastructure funds, especially new planned infrastructure ‘Open Hall’.
